Channelling a unique groove that draws from 70’s psych-pop, ‘Ready For Forever’ was written in a period where the artist was reflecting upon his way of living and questioning the longevity of what he was doing.

Premium Leisure - aka Chris Barker - explains; “The song describes characters drifting about without any burdens or liability; asking me to give up the guilty conscience and loosen up.”

‘Ready for Forever’ comes shortly after Premium Leisure’s latest single, ’Remedies’; which has received on-air support from the likes of John Kennedy on his Radio X show and Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1.

Chris Barker is recognisable to many as Willie J Healey’s guitarist and - as with all Premium Leisure projects - ‘Ready for Forever’ enlists an array of talent from Oxford’s abundant music scene. With drummer Mike Monaghan [Gaz Coombes, Saint Etienne] and Bassist Harry Deacon [Palace, Razorlight] contributing to the track to make one hell of a rhythm section.
